in good company

March has been pretty fun :)

it was my first time to Mink at Pan Pacific Hotel (lol, case of a super late bloomer)
made it to the guestlist and our password was " hit me baby one more time", how ridiculous is that :) haha
I've not been out at night "to club" for ages and P says it's cos I'm no longer single so therefore I've disappeared off the radar. Actually, it's more like alcohol and me don't go too well plus I need the weekends to prepare for launches so I can't afford a hangover :)
I was in good company with a few bellas
i find it so amusing how my ex-colleague can party with my secondary sch friends and uni friends
 group shot! clink clink!
 my fav shot of Anya
we had 2 march babies amongst us on that night, we celebrated both Elaine & Cheesian's birthday:)

girls being girls! we sure know the side profile is the best! LOL :)
the next friday, Boys were having their " boys night out" so naturally Anya and I took off and re-lived the gd ol' times

Dinner at Sansui with Anya's russian friends followed by a quick stop at Overeasy  to say hello to our favourite DJ

he spent the week in Bali, playing for Potato Head beach club and on that friday,
reported straight for work from the airport (explains the berms hehe)
after OE, we took off to Pangaea

It was huilin's birthday and she sure knows how to party like a rockstar , i was pretty star struck heh heh

this is kwanyi posing with "pangaea" the stuffed pooch

my fav photo wld be this :
like wow i didnt know my eyes were thaaat far apart hahaa but when anya leaves, things wld be so different :(

n the russian friends popped by too :)

Spent Saturday nursing a hangover  & unfortunately ,sad news hit home.
one of mom's pet lovebird passed away around 4ish and i sat down for quite some time wondering about life and how this little life had ended and how it would impact the world .
the poor thing was stiff and eyes closed in its colourful feathers, i'm sorry dear Speckie!
rest in peace! my mom loved you so much.

was also late for Tea at Jeanette's with Pris.
she baked scones & we had the pleasure of catching up for a bit

G's been busy with Mosaic so on Monday night we caught up for dinner and drinks :)
it was decided Cold Cuts & escargots at L'angelus by Club St.

the yummiest escargots in town can be found here
love the display of french magazines

& we decided to pop by 28 located at 28 Hong Kong St,
this is how the entrance looks like, inconspicuous & completely camouflaged
by the old shophouse facade haha
no pictures allowed in side and little tiger would tell you that time and time again
and stalk behind your handphone to make sure you oblige to the rule, so make sure you have some privacy screen stuck on yr smart phone :)
this is what we got away with
leather coasters & menus came with those tiny portable night lights :X
so much effort went into wording the entire menu, it proved quite an interesting read

above is the silver fizz & a whore's bath, served with a sprig of baby's breath no less.

& below is the broccoli i had the next day for breakkie to feel less guilty abt dinner & the heavy weekend of wine, coldcuts & cheese

14th March: Dinner went on as usual & it  was my first time receiving flowers & "celebrating" White Day
 감사합니다오빠:)

on Thursday, a greek friend suggested couples' night at Blue Kouzina

it was my first time having Greek food and boy, did it taste good!
so much herbs, tomatoes, yoghurt, extremely healthy extra virgin olive oil was infused into the entire menu
after a huge assortment of entres, we had to share some mains and this is Andreas trying to distribute the seabass specially flown in from Greece
i could taste the clear blue water in every bite of that fish :X
so impressed  and i'm definitely bringing the girls here!

came home to good news that Lux Jeudi's collection was a success & went to bed cos the next morning I had to meet 2 ladies from Reebonz at  their members-only :SPACE located at Clifford Centre.
I had the pleasure of picking shoes & bags for Monday's shoot :) and it's all thanks to them!
wore Marni for H&M's color block dress ( a lil too wide for me, but i can live with it)

& met my dear aunt for a quick shopping session and tea at Arteastiq ( mandarin gallery)
scored brownie points with mom for catching up with my aunt, not bad for a friday :)

Saturday was spent at Dr Stephen's Lee's ( ENT specialist at Raffles Med Hospital) to check on my sinuses followed by nails with the Prisy before she flies off to assume her bridesmaid duty in Brisbane hehe

i swear this place has the most amazing collection of OPI & Biosculpt

spent the evening with Pris & she introduced me to some of her family  :)
It was St Patrick's day and both of us were the only kookoos who turned up in green LOL
we had Irish beef stew  specially made by Michelle cece's mother in law
followed by beef kway teow mee + chin char loh by Michelle cece's Mommy.
wow the perks of inter-racial marriage, the dining table was a huge melting pot of food!

and oh yes, pris also introduced me to a potential new face for smooch and her name's also Sarah :)
i was definitely intrigued by her bohemian braids :) shall see how that progresses

Lastly, March is definitely the month of " Draw Something" by omgpop
lol we've been constantly drawing something on our iphones & ipads, explains the non-blogging and less tweets!
gd night!

monday's joy

part of Monday's joy between launches is to confirm samples inspired by geometry and minimalist looks :) expect them soon!

indulgent saturday

at least once a month, i make an effort to take the trek down to old choa chu kang road, wave a quick hi to my granddad, and off to the gun club to shoot. i've become a little addicted to down the line shooting... it's really fun being able to blow off steam shooting bright orange clay pigeons with rifles.if the sport wasnt so expensive including the travel there + rental... i would most likely go there more often.

i've found a group of friends that would sometimes come and join me at the range and this week was jason's first time at the range since their move. everyone was very on form, hitting a ton of targets, it was great! first time i tried random clay too! very very fun. :) my shoulder's now aching frm the recoil...

our mini spectators:
they were very entertained by their ipads... haha

then it was off to nektar for our cocktail classes:

our teacher for the afternoon:

us very diligent students learnt 3 drinks...
dont remember the name but it involved 4 rasberries, sugar syrup, lemon juice, egg whites, vodka haha

an expresso martini equivalent but instead we used tequila and agave nectar :) it was yummy. choc bitters were also added
the last drink was my all time favourite - old fashion but unfortunately i was too busy testing the drink that i forgot to take any photos haha. ive been told by the staff that in the future i'm to make my own and they'll wave the service fee! ha

wishing everyone a good week ahead!
